The synthesizers are very kraftwek influenced in this song. There is another song that he does that is even more Kraftwerk …..In this song listen between 3:49and 4:04 Extremely Kraftwer. This is just how it is…get used to it pal LOL

  5. mbxcc says:

That’s a fairly ignorant statement as this has almost nothing in common with the Kraftwerk sound.

  6. groovyuser says:

    Genius.
    I’ve always loved this song.
He’s the only good thing to come out of the electronic 80′s.

Dolby was right when he wrote the song in the 80s – Leipzig was full of Honnecker-esque tower blocks that all looked the same!

He is British and has been living in the Los Angeles, Ca area with his wife for many years.

I Love Thomas Dolby’s Brilliant songs, but wish I could find the original of “Leipzig” as it sounded much more Haunting especially during the 80s when I first heard it when this WhiRrRL’d was Far Less ‘free’ than it is(n’T) today. Does anyone have the link to it ? Danke Schöen!
